About Me
I am currently substitute teacher with the local school system, working with students K-12, and have worked with Deaf children. I have a degree in music, working on my American Sign Language Interpreting degree, and speak American Sign Language/PSE. I enjoy teaching elementary school subjects (k-5), and middle/high school speech, English, music, and American Sign Language. I love to make learning fun, and to adapt my teaching style to what works best for my students.
Education
AUGUST 2019 - PRESENT AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE AND INTERPRETING STUDIES, MINOT STATE UNIVERSITY I am currently an American Sign Language Interpreting major at Minot State University. I have received a scholarship for hard work and dedication, and I currently hold a 3.9 GPA. DECEMBER 2022 BACHELOR OF ARTS IN MUSIC, VALLEY CITY STATE UNIVERSITY I graduated in December of 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Piano Pedagogy Certificate, with Suma Cum Laude Honors.

NOVEMBER 2021-PRESENT, VALLEY CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS SUBSTITUTE TEACHER Working with students in K-12 classrooms settings to ensure learning takes place while the regular teacher is absent, and disciplining students when necessary AUGUST 2018 – DECEMBER 2020, VALLEY CITY STATE UNIVERSITY VIKING LEARNING COMMONS TUTOR Tutored students one on one or in groups for writing, English, music, and American Sign Language SEPTEMBER 2020 – PRESENT, BALDWIN PRESBETERIAN CHURCH VOLUNTEER SUNDAY SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT Teach ages 4-12 biblical lessons on Sunday mornings during worship services, and provide discipline when needed
Interests
When I am not tutoring or working I enjoy crafting, playing music, hanging out with my family and friends, going on adventures, and playing with my family's dog and soon my dog.
